With reference to your instructions
regarding Lot 1267 which the proprietor has been resumed by Her Majesty's
Government with the exception of a portion
called Helen's Bank transferred to the late W. Stewart and which the Executors desire to retain possession of as by the letter of Mr. I Jardine to your address. I have the honour to state that the Lot in question
originally granted by Mr. Causton and a lease was issued from this office on the 15th April 1845.
