HONGKONG GYMKHANA

CLUB...

THE THIRD MEETING

The sun was far too hot to be really pleasant for standing and witnessing racing on Saturday, and this doubtless had something to do with the compari- tively small attendance at the third meet- ing of the sonson in connection with the Gymkhana Club. Among those present. were:H.E. the Governor, Lady May, and Miss May, the Governor's party also including Major-General Kelly.

Though the fields were not consistently large, racing was always keen and good, with just a few surprises to bring un- certainty into speculations. The officials were:Committee: The Stewards of the Hongkong Jockey Club (ex-officio), Hon. Mr. David Landale, and Messrs. H. J. Gedge, O. K. Hall Brutton, G. H. Potte and W. G. Rawlinson." Judge. Mr. G. H. Potts.

Handicappers-Hon. Mr. David Landale

and Mr. G. H. Potts.

Clerk of the Scales.-Mr. A. Charlton: Starter-Mr: H. J. Godge.

Timekeeper Mr. M. 8. Sassoon.
