Hongkong aforesaid ... that at the time the said evidence was given by the said Fon the against Petitioner, he was known to have threatened that. Your Excellency will be pleased to take into consideration the circumstances of your Petitioner's case, and that Your Excellency will ... your Petitioner's sentence, and suffer him to be released from further imprisonment. And ... bound, will coer your pray, &c.

That at the time of the conviction, the jury were doubtless satisfied of the guilt of your Petitioner, but since it has been proved ... that the said Too Apo was then and had been formerly guilty of extorting money under the circumstances aforesaid, the conviction of the Too Apo naturally gives rise to suspicions that the said Too Apo was actuated by similar motives in giving his evidence against your Petitioner.

That ... in giving his evidence against your Petitioner is not ... & guilty of the charge of ... which he was convicted, and is now ... undergoing his sentence.

Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays ... Petitioner as in duty.
