perceive that
Three prisoners,
"Tam Aput," "Leang ... jete,"
"Ashin"," and "Cheong Chocu" alias "Cheong Asoo"," convicted of piracy at the Vice Admiralty Court of the 24th day of January last, sent a petition through Mr. Gaskell, one of the practicing Attornies of this colony, together with another from the jury
who tried them, praying
for a free pardon, under the plea that they were convicted falsely on the evidence of "Too Apo,"
