The annual general meeting of the Association of Exporters and Dealers of Hongkong was held in the old Chamber of Commerce Room at the City Hall Inst evening. Mr. F. The CHAIRMAN said:-Gentlemen,- The reports and accounts of the Association having been in your hands for some time, I will, with your permission, take them as read. As will be seen from the report your Committee during the past year has had considerable worrespondence with the different ports and cities of the world, and I think that their labours have not been altogether in vain. As might be expected with a young institution such as mura, several difficulties and obstacles have been egantered, but I think that material progress has been made in establishing the Association as a factor in the protection and furtherance of Far- Eastern conmmerce with the difforent mar- kets of the world. Special attention has been paid to Wood Oil, and in the report you will find some very useful informa tion in regard to the different methods used for testing Wood Oil. The informa tion now placed at your disposal should
