A MYSTERIOUS BACILLUS

LONDON, February 20th. A mysterious bacillus, designated the "Gather Bacillus," has been found to be responsible for the death of a woman in London, and a number of persons in France, who died after eating seemingly sound and healthy food. It is being argued that the bacillus may have pro- duced many deaths ascribed to ptomaine, arsenical and other poisoning.
