TUESDAY, February 10th. The ponies were exercised yesterday as well as to-day. The inside course was used for Monday's gallops and the (outside, dne tgday. All the Shanghai jockeys have settled down to work of testing the capabilities of their respective. mounts, none of whom have yet been called upon to gallop in racing style. It may be assumed that mal solid work will be put in to-morrow. Sir Paul Chater's ponies were conspicuons by their absencs from the course this morning; in all probability Mr. Vida decided to rest the ponies after yesterday's work.
Fijino Chief did a good mile and a quarter in 9,55, last quarter 293-5, with out any effort. None of the other performances to-day morit.comment.
