The effect of the Kwong Vik's suspen sion, naturally, is to alarm the small depositors in all the local Chinese banks. At the Communication Bank this morn- ing there has been a constant stream of people drawing out money, but the aggregate of their withdrawals is not enough to create any alarm. The Chinesa Commercial Bank is practically andis turbed and in any event the balance sheet. just issued, in reference to its first year's transactions, shows this bank to be in a sound position.
