I have the honor to forward for your Lordship's consideration the accompanying application with three inclosures from Mr. C. M. Campbell, late Acting Chief Justice, for travelling expenses from Calcutta to Hong Kong and back again, amounting to $1220.68. From the concluding part of Sir Colin Campbell's letter to Sir John Davis, it will be seen he considered that if Mr. Campbell was not confirmed in the appointment of Attorney General, his expenses incurred in going to Hongkong and in returning from Calcutta, and therein should be allowed him...
