Hongkong, 8th June, 1842

His Excellency the Governor having desired one to furnish him with further particulars regarding the action of Pacheco and another against myself, I have now the honor to lay before you the following.

Reference to my former letter of the 13th May last,

Proceedings in the action were commenced by the plaintiffs on 27th September, 1841. The Honorable Mr. Campbell, acted as counsel on 30th November 1841 till his removal to the bench on ... 1847, to perform the duties of Chief Justice.
