that Lord Grey purposed to interest the former in procuring the Company to accede to the application of the Company for grant of Meines Let No 64 rent free,
on terms similar to
those laid down in His Lordship's Desp of 4th June No 34 Revenue (Enclosed) but that
it appears to his Lordship desirable that some arrangement
should be made with the Company in order to ensure
the transmission of the
Coast Mails between Hong Kong & Canton by their Vessels
on the most favourable terms
