The proposal here made is for exchange of two Lots of Land for the Canton Steam Packet Company.

Lord Grey has already sanctioned grant of the two Lots first applied for export Conditions.

The terms annexed - 54272.

I premise the land are leased on the same terms sanctioned in despatch of 4 June.

I am directed by Earl Grey to transmit to you Copy's of a Despatch from Governor of Hong Kong, together with the Correspondence to which it refers, relative to a Lot of Land which it is proposed should be granted to the Hongkong and Canton Steam Packet Company.

I am to request that you will take these Papers into your Consideration.
