Despatch N°62 of 2nd February 1847
I have the less hesitation in arriving at this decision inasmuch as it appears from M. Cleverly's Report that a large portion of the additional Sum required is for the Tower which, however ornamental, cannot be considered as essential for the use of the Church, and also because I think that, considering how small a proportion of the Cost of this Building has been raised by public Subscription in the Colony, the further Sum which is now wanted ought to be obtained from the Church without much difficulty.
