This ambidexterity may be acquired without any very long practice, And the left lung and the left eye profit by this simultaneous development of both sides of the body, while it does away with that injurious lopsided position of the body which is assumed in writing and drawing. The Acting British Consul at Wuchow (Mr. O. R. Coates) reporting on the trade of Wuchow and Nanning in 1919 notes that there has been a large expansion in the motor launch trafo on the Upper West River. At the beginning of the year there were only eight boats on the river, but 12 months later these had increased to 17, of which nine were British, and there is a prospect of several more coming up during 1913.

One of the most ambidextrous men that ever lived was Sir Edwin Landseer, who could simultaneously draw a dog with one hand and a stag's head with the other. There is such an overwhelming difference between the two lobes that one is compelled to say: The right hand can not only do much that is impossible for the left, but anything the left can do it has borrowed from the right or learut from it indirectly.
