Celebrated Violiniste
Nervous Fatigue, Languor-
The power to excel, the confidence which ensures her brilliant successes, says the talented violinist, Miss Sybil Keymer, is entirely due to her abundance of vigorous nerve force created by Phosferine. How greatly the numerous distinctions and triumphant career of this accomplished musician are promoted by the brain energy and physical stamina developed by Phoslerine, is evident from Miss Keymer's admission that the tonic "enabled me to do myself justice.". This power to excel, this ability to make barfect use of her skili, depends upon the marvellous control and steadiness of the muscle murves Phosferine has given her, and to which she owes the entrancing tone and quality of her musical renditions. Naturally, this energising effect of Phosferine was accompanied by the disappearance of the headaches, listlessness, and fatigue, which were the bane of her public appearances, and it is this happyoutcome which impels Miss Keymer to testify to the exceptional advantages to be derived from Phosferide.
Promptly Remedied.
Miss Sybil Keymer, Riversmere," Albany Rd., Leighton Buzzard, Eng., writes: "I think I should inform you that I have recently derived very great benefit from the use of Phosferine hr the course of my profession I have to travel a good deal in getting to my various concerts, and I find that since using Phosferine I am never troubled with the headaches and listlessness which follow a long railway journey, particularly during hot weather. This is of very great importance to me, as frequently only a very little time elapses between reaching my destination and the com mencement of a concert, and it is such a relief to feel fresh and ready for playing in public undisturbed by the fatigues of long travelling. It is because I feel that Phosferine enables me to do myself justice as a violinist, preventing any of the unsteadiness of the muscle nerves, which is so harmful to tone and quality, that I confidently commend the tonic at every opportunity."-July 31, 1912.

Many new and entertaining stories of King Edward, narrated with a refresh ing naivete rare in books of reminiscences, are told in Mr. C. W. Stamper's book, "What I Know. For five years Mr. Stamper occupied the highly responsible. position of His Majesty's motor expertsafe." and engineer, and in that capacity he always accompanied the ear which the King occupied, sitting by the side of the chauffeur and directing him. There being, however, no room for a footman, Mr. Stamper attended upon His Majesty, and for this reason performed ditties which had nothing to do with motoring, Mr. Stamper is careful to explain that the way the King received his services as footman made all the difference.** Mine ho accepted. Those of a footman he

The gem of the book is a delightful story of an incident that took place at Biarritz. Once when the author was about to bring tho car round to the hotel at Biarritz he received a private message from the Ser- geant-footman advising him on no account to come too close to His Majesty's person. "Greatly surprised," says Stamper in telling the story, I asked what he meant, when he reminded me that my luach that day had consisted largely of steak and Onions. I was not the only one who had partaken of that succulent dish, and, guessing that the alliaceous properties of the onions had already caused trouble that afternoon, I was careful to take the advice, and while I was out with the car, to keep as far from His Majesty as I possibly could. Afterwards I heard what had happened. It appeared that after lunch His Majesty had wanted to see the Postmaster and the Conrier Cairing the Sergeant-footman, the King was proceed ing to tell him to sammon them before him when he stopped short and looked at the inan. At that moment the King caught sight of Superintendent Quinn, who had been following us in another ear with one of the chiefs of the Austrian police, standing behind the empty waggon, and I returned to bear him crying :

King Edward, we are told, was often quick tempered, though his anger had gone not passed but gone-almost before it was there, and he was never unreason- able, but always ready to bear explanation.". Innumerable examples are given of his good nature. He thoroughly enjoyed his popularity. Once when he went to Kempton Park, where he was greeted with tremendous cheering a tan in the crowd called out, "What ho, us again i Teddy Come down to see Good old sport! What have you done with the Ascot Cup?" This was just after the disappearance of that trophy, and no one could have laughed more heartily than the King did at the soft impeachment. Perhaps the narrowest escape mentioned by Mr. Stamper vas one that occurred near Midhurst, when at the beginning of a long and steep descent the two footbrakes and the hand-brake went wrong: Luckily before the cat gut out of control it was possible to swing round a corner into safety No one ever knew," says the author, what the. chauffeur and I went through on that hill
