PIRACY.
SIX OF THE GANG ÄRRESTED. We learn as we go to press that a party of Chinese brases and Customs men came across some of the pirates near Namtso, One of the pirates was shot dead, six others were arrested, and some of the property looted from the ship has been recovered.
The pizates who took possession of the Tui Ou on Wednesday night are believed to number from to to 80, and the total value of the loot taken away, including a fully. equipped life boat, is estimated about $25,000. The pirates were men between the ages of 28 and 40, and were mostly well-dressed.
The Hongkong Government has offered a reward of $2,000 for information which will lead to the arrest and conviction of persons concerned in the piratical attack on the Tai On.
