Beecham's Pills, they are just the thing as a Family medicine. Nothing to be compared with them has yet been put before the public. For over half a century this medicine has been an easy First Favourite in countless households and the name and fame of Beecham's Pills have spread all over the world. The reason for the enorraous popularity of this comedy is not far to seek. Experience has shown that there is nothing better for derangements of the stomach and digestive organs generally. Taken in accordance with direction:

HAMURG, March-12th. BANK REPORTS.

The reports of the Deutsche Bank of Berlin and the Dresden Bank of Dresden differ very little in the tenor of their remarks on trade during the past year. Both agree that, in spite of the feeling of political uneasiness arising from the war in the Balkan Peninsula during the latter part of it, it has been one of un- Sound activity, as shown by the record fgares of exports and imports and of the goods traffic receipts of the German railways, the latter amounting to 1,991 million marks, or 138 millions more than in 1911. Particular stress is laid upon. the fact that the imports of gold have. exceeded the exports ty 227,817,000 marks, and that this should have been so in the face of heavy remittances against the large amounts due abroad and a stringent money market, consequent upon the ex- tensive requirements of the home trade, is ascribed in part to the foresight of the Reichsbank in timely providing for tuy erbergency by the acquisition of a large stock of foreign bills of exchange and securities which helped to refund-the- foreign capital withdrawn and to pay for the quantity of raw materials im- ported. At any rate it has been accom plished without recourse to outside as. sistance, and this the Dresden Bank looks upon 48 #complete refutation of the assertion of part of the foreign Press that the capital of Germany no longer sufices for the requirements of her trade and that she deca not possess the means to carry on a war of any duration.
