some distant day

this Country will cease to rely solely for its

civil support upon its

own

resources, instead of looking as heretofore to the

assistance of Parliament.

The question of

the adjustment of the

large outstanding

arrear,

in which the Colony Government appears to be

indebted in account

to other departments will be reserved for a future

communication.
