I imagined - when I figured business

is & proper to communicate the contents of the Govt. despatch to the Col. Govt. But I now find that the Col. Govt. only obtains this information through the Commiss! Chest, & in truth, we here have official cognizance of the passing of Votes by Parl! It seems to me, that we ought to have, & ought to communicate the information

of being content as now, - with things being done

Pb May last, with their enclosures. I regret that

it has been out of my

power to return an earlier

any judgment upon the consideration, until the receipt-

of the second - the full consideration which the matter of the subject was then found to require, involving an exam
