The P. & O. str. Assaye left Singapor for this port on the 12th January, at 6 am.. with the outward English mails, and is due here on the 17th January, at abouta.m.
THE FRENCH MALL.
The M.M. str. Mayellon is expected to arrive here from Europe to-day at day- light, and will leave for Shanghai and Japan about 0 p.m.
THE GERMAN MAIL.
The IG.M. str. Bremen, carrying the German mails with dates from Barlin of the 25th December, left Colombo on the 13th January, a.m., and may be expected here on or about 24th January.
