appointment of one of the officers of the Court to act for him in Governor is authorized by the Charter of the Colony to make such appointment if required. As to the Officers of the Court - they have not made any complaint to me about the want of a long vacation. By the new Rules only one of them is required
to be in attendance the words are

There are 4 Officers of the Supreme Court, the Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Clerk of Court, and Chief Judge's Clerk, each of whom is competent to do the duties of
the others.
As the new Rules of Court give every facility to suitors without inconvenience to the Judge officers of the Court, and at the same
time add materially to the Revenue, I
must give
my support to them.
