The four lots above named were recommended for resumption by Sir John Davis, in Despatch Nr. 73 of the 3rd July last, to Your Lordship.
On the back of the Enclosure, statements of the Colonial Treasurer, the Surveyor General, and the Attorney General, which induced me to bring this matter before the Executive Council, on the 13th Instant, and it was then decided to submit the case to the favorable consideration of Your Lordship.

There to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch 28. of the 18 of April last enclosing a Petition from "Chang samu" praying that the Rents due from certain Lots of Land and Quit Rent Money may be Remitted.
