I have the honor to transmit to your Lordship a petition from a Chinese, named Ching San, holder of Marine Lot No. 76 and inland lot 287, to be permitted to reassign the same, and as sufficient security has been obtained for the recovery of arrears due to the Crown on the said Lots, accounting to $201.60, as well as of the Fees of Court amounting to $52.50, making in all $254.19 - I have to solicit your Lordship's sanction to their reverting to the Government from the half year ending 25th December 1847.
