EXPLANATION DY THE INVENTOE,
Wa print below the second of Mr. H. Ommundson's articles on the row rifle sight- the Neve Anglo Sight which he has invented. Mr. Ommanden sin famous ride aljot who has twice won the King's Prize at Bisley. He is a non-commissioned offleur of Territoriala.
The claim made by Mr. Ommandsen for his nów sight is that within cortain limits it does away altogether with the naoussity for range- Rading.

Now by placing an inverted backsight on the top line of the visual angle a foot distant from the eye, uod a foresight on the lower line of the ungle two feet distant from the eye, an ohjeet may be ti-ually callipered between the two slights. If the object recedo, it becomes visually smaller, the visual angle decreases, and in order to keep the object callipered the but and of the rile must be lowered or the muzzle end raised. or both. Whichever is done the effect is to increase the angle of projection at which. the bullet leaves the rifa.
