The undersigned, Widow of the late John Hope, Colonial Engineer and Clerk of Works in the Surveyor General's Office, Hongkong, begs to submit the particulars of her unfortunate and deplorable Case for the consideration of the Right Honorable the Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies.
Whereas her husband arrived in this Colony in the full enjoyment of health; and in the execution of his hazardous and fatiguing duty experienced
