Twelve Pirates were on the 35th January sentenced to death by the Admiralty Court, and on the pet instant the Executive Council assembled to consider the Acting Judge's report, that officer being summoned to attend the Council as usual.
Notwithstanding the long prevalence in this neighbourhood, of the crime of Piracy my desire was of course to spare the lives of as many of these convicts as possible, concretely with the ends of justice - On a consideration of the Judge's report, I recolved with the concurrence of the Council that the Criminals "Chun aching, Le Aquet
