November 19th transmitting Commission under the Royal Sign Manual constituting Major-General Staveley Lieutenant-Governor of this

Colony.

Major General Staveley arrived

by the

the abovementioned Despatch on the 26th Instant, and was sworn in as

Lieutenant Governor yesterday, when

he also took his seat as a Member

of the Executive Council.
