battered British freighter Bucephalus sought refuge in Manila Bay late Tuesday night, October 3rd, breaking & Voyage from Daly, Manchuria, to Semarang, Java, where the cargo was to hire been discharged. The ill-fated vessel was caught in the Vortex of the Beroo typhoon which swept unross northern Luzon early the previous week into the China Sea, and towel about at the morcy of the mul slements for 90 hours.

On Weines lay, September 27th, the Buephalus was firat struck by the typhoon, against which the battle almost four daya, being within forty miles of the typhoon contra. Captain Carrick, mater of the freighter. the Cablences as told a terrible story of the experiences
