The final in the lawn bowls championship of the Colony was played on the Kowloon Bowling Chung Mak Tow & 10 100 13110110 Greza on Saturday afternoon, there being a largo attendance of enthusiasts in this form of sport. The tie for third and fourth prizes was alio played, as well as a match between teams chosen by the President of the League and the President of the Kowloon Bowling Club. The Club and grounde werk testofully, decorated, refreshments were served during the afternoon, and the hosts did all that could be done to make the visit of members from other Cluba a thoroughly enjoyable one,

In the championship final Mr. G. R. Edwards beat Mr. J. Macdult by 21 to 19 points after an intervaling game; and in the tia for third and fourth places str. G. K. Haxton beat Mr. Hamilton of Taikoo with a st Bilar score to that recorded in the championship In the other match arranged victory went to the team select- ed by the President of the Kowloon Club, the players being Messrs Harvey, Bond, Gourlag, Witherspoon, MaHarly, Russell, Bolton and Fisher.

Mrs. W. Russell presented the prizes, and, also Landed to the Police team-the winners of the League Competition--the silver bowl and a silver cup for each member.

Mrs. Russell was presented with a. bandsome bouquet to which the colours of the Kowloon Bowling Club were tied, and further thanks were conveyed to her in the shape of three koarty cheers.

A BOXING FIASCO,

The publio were promised all sorts of good things in the boxing tournament which was ad vertised to take placa in the Empire Theatre on Saturday night, but the fow sportemen who were present and whoss faces are familier at local fistic encounters were surely disappointed- To begin with, tho affair was more of a "rough up" than a boxing tournament. Secondly, it wes badly mismanaged. The first bout was timed to start at 9 pm, but it was nearly 10. o'clock before the men entered the ring. Then the ten minutes interval between the preliminar.
