Sanatogen feeds the nervos, and thus brings them to their normal state by supplying the vital element of phosphorus, which is used up in the display of every form of mental or physical

energy.

of the mport and accounts, that he had little to add to what had been set forth. Ho was glad to say that they had made considerable progress with the estates during the past year in the way of antling down the expenditure and also in their condition. They were at present thoroughly clean, in good order and woll roaded. While the cost of production, in common with other companies, had been high in the past, it had constantly been coming down and was now at a more or less moderato figure and com paratively steady, Ho bad just reveived a tele- gram giving the last month's yield as 13,325 tbs. Moreover, as Sir William Gowers maintains, phosphorus notably increases the proportion of the red blond corpuscles in the blood. It can, therefore, be easily anderstood that when there is a lack of this vital element there is a manifest diminution in the perform ance of the various fanction".

The ordinary strain of life, coupled with the stress of the tropical climate, constantly depletes the supply of phosphorus and imposes a strain on the nervous system. The restlessness pro- duced by loss of sleep, and the additional nervona strain induced by the same means, still further accentuates this loss of phosphorns The result is that, puc evil noting on the other produres what doctors calls vicions circle," and this causes an ever-increasing overdraft os

the supply of phosphorus.

Sanatogen is composed of glycero-phosphate of sodium, chemically combined with the body building element of pure milk. The phosphorus in Sanatogen is, therefore, in the exact form in which it is found in the brain and nervous arg. teran. Those organs are thus ale to assimilato and utilise it with the greatest case, fa restore to the full the quantity of phosphorus which has boon withdrawn from them.

HOW INSOMNIA 18 CURED.

On the question of earing, the company had been having the work done at the F.M.S. Rubber Company's factory, and they received intimation some little time back that they would be unable to continue the arrangement indefinitely. Con- requently, the directors considered the bast thing to do would be to amalgamate with other companies and, erect a central factory as men- tioned in the report. It was hoped to have this in working order about March, 1912. Then there was the hospital sobome in which they had also joined with the othor concerns in the Kajang district. They had to erect one owing to the Government requirements, and the directors came to the conclusion that the scheme proposud was the most scone- mind and sficient manner of doing so. The hospital was in course of erection and he thought it would be finished by the end of the present year. Regarding fabour, Balgownie Estates were very well off, and although some difficulty had been axperienced during a short period, espesially at Bangi, that had been overcome and there was no reason to suppose there would be any farther troubles

Mr. Flower seconded the motion.

Mr. Freidborger proceeded to question the Chairman on points arising out of the balance let, drawing attention to the $70,556 debited to tapping, curing, duty, freight, insurance and marketing, and to the 40 per cent of that sum debited on the proportion of managers' salaries and estate expenditure amounting to $28,646.

Sharakolders woakl notice from the report that it was proposed to issue new capital.

In doing this, it also.nooonnt of the cast of the proposed new factory removes the long list of nervous symptoms like and hospital As soon as the present issue took depression, Insitude, disinalination for mental place the company would be in a good position or bodily effort, impaired memory, and the fear regarding finances. of impending evil, to name a few of those which, sooner or later, follow, if indeed they do not presede, inability to sleep.

Sapatogen, however, does more than this, By restoring sleep, nature's chief means of resting and reinvigorating the brain and per- vous system, it prevents nervous breakdown. If, on the other hand, people have been so unfor tunato as to have broken down already, and are Jirsatened with Neurasthenia, Banatogen will restore them to health far more rapidly, than anything else, giving tham new strength, new force, new vigour and vitality.

Thousands of men and wonten have written

Mr. Derrick explained that of the 828,646 that they have been oured of sleeplessness by Sanntogen. Lady Henry Somerset, the cale. the amount debited to the superintendent and brated philanthropist, atates Sanatogen-un-management comprised sulya very small

proportion. doubtedly restores sleep and invigorates the nerves, and it braces the patient to health."

The wife of a doctor and J. P. in Scotland writes: "My nervous system was so much im. paired that I could not sleep without sedatives, and my appetite was quite gone, in fact I had a perfect distaste for anything in the shape of food. Many other remedies had been tried, but had little or

effect. At last my husband sent for Sanategen, and the affect was marvellons In the course of a wook after taking Batten I felt quite different. My nerves wero soothed, and I required in a very short time no shimu. iants and sedatives,"

Sucatogen's

's morite are endorsed by over 14,000 doctors, including ten physicians to crowned boads of Europe, among them being Draft the late King Edward's physician in Marienbad.

The Chairman pointed out that the expendi ture included not only the manager's salary, bul the whole of the coolie labour as well as the estate expense, excepting tapping. He also mentioned that last year the cest of production on Balgownie was 1s. 9d. and Bangi 29.

THE ESTIMATES.

Mr. Caldicott, in the course of a series of questions dealing with the accounts, observed that the estimated output was 138,000 lbs. whereas the actual harvest was only 114,000.

The Chairman remarked that undoubtedly the estimates were made too high, although consideration had to be given to the abnor mul wintering and drought experienced.

Koplying further to Mr. Caldicott, the Chairman explained with reference to 86,239, debited as depreciations, and less by fire, timt set of coolie lines had boon burned down two or three days before being handed over by the contractor, against when it was useless to proceed to recover damages. The buildings had not been taken over and consequently had boding of immaturo areas and the cest of roads How not been insured by the company. Since then, however, now lines were always insured. The contributed largely to the capital expenditure.

Mr. Derrick mentioned in connection th the sum of $4,494-stalionors, printing, recretaries allowance and charges-against $2,213 last year that the late secretaries received increase of $200 a month to their remuneration owing to the amount of extra work involved on account of the splitt ing up of the ospitol, and when they got into diffoullies and Landed over the affaire to the present secretaries the accounts were found to be extremely involved and a special fee was paid for putting them in order. The remuneration remained the same.

it was pointed out that the $120,000 would not be called up af only some 358,165 being required, although Dace, they wanted a rearre for extensions or for machinery. Each company would bave an equal say in the

management of the factory, The motion was then adopted,

Regarding the new factory,
