"The three Chinese Criminals
"Lwachow" "Lewaman" and "Lew-asam", having
been capitally convicted at the Criminal Sessions of the Supreme Court of this Colony
the 18th December, and sentenced to death
for the crime of murder committed on the person of the Chinese Wong-acking", the Acting Chief Justice was specially
summoned to attend the Executive Council held on the 30th December with the notes taken on the trial.
Though the Council were disposed to make examples of all the three Criminals, it appeared to myself that there were circumstances slightly in favour of the first named "Lwachow",
