I have the honor to enclose herewith-
Copy of the Colonial Treasurer's Abstract
of Revenue and Expenditure for the year 1847, which I hope will be considered satisfactory.
From this it appears that the Revenue for the past year was increased to £31078. 17.0 and the Expenditure diminished to £50959. 15.9.
The following is a comparative Statement of Revenue and Expenditure for the three last years, exhibiting a pretty rapid increase on the one hand and retrenchment on the other and a corresponding saving of the Excess.
