TIGER ATTACKS TRAINER.
THEILLING INUIDÉNT AT AN ENTERTAINMENT.
There was a terrifying scene in Bostook's Jurglo at Sheffield, when Herr Falkendorf, the tiger trainor, was attacked by a tiger and seriously injured,
Five tigera were brought into the areas, and Herr Falkendorf proceeded to putilem through their performanes. He turned his back on the ligers for a moment, and was immediataly attacked by one of the animals.
The attendants who were stationed round the areas promptly went to the rescue of the trainer, and after an exciting encounter, in which they made use of their firearman to do the infuriated animals, they succeeded in driving the tigors back to their cegos.
When it was possible to give attention to Heer Falkondorf, ho was found to be seriously wounded and niconscious. He was at once tuken to the hospital.

A WELL-KNOWN PROFESSOR OF JU-JITSU, AFTER SUFFERING FROM MALARIA AND NERVOUS DISORDERS, Is CURED Br WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS.
Dr.
One of the most ablo exponents of Ju-Jitsu-the Japanese ort of self-defense is Mr. W. H. Collingridge, principal of the celebrated Ju-Jiten school at Nowcastle-on-Tyno and author of that asoful and interesting book "Tricks of Self-Defence,”
Daring a recent interview Mr. Collingridge, whose portrait appears above, recounted. many interesting details of Ju-Jitsu and some of his personal experiences at home and abroad. The value of Ju-Jiisa as a method of self-defende," said he," is now recognised generally, In addition, it provides healthfal exorcise, and there was a time when I was sadly in nood of strength. In 1889, I was travolling in India, and whilst at Mhow, I foll a victim to an attack of Malarin, so acute that I had to return to England to shake off the offests.
"I became subject to extreme uštvous debility, was seldom free from sick headaches, and any exertion made my heart palpitato frantically, causing me to feel sick and faint,
"La spite of tonto medicine and treatments I got more and more depressed. Every- thing was a trouble. Almost any widen noise made me jump out tromble violently.
My appetita was nowhere. "What fond I took was rejected, or fortared me for hours, with terrible pains in my stomach and across my back. There was a feeling of fulness as though I had taken a heavy meal, after eating perhaps only a mouthful.
"I had to take drugs after almost every meal-pain and anuson resulted if I didn't. I lived on invalid foods and minces, but these things didn't conrish mo nad I continued to lose atrougth. So-called tonics and pick-me-ups only stimulated me for the minuto and then

was Acute Norvous Deblity, I persevared with whatever they prescribed, but always with the same result. I would be little botter for a day or so, and then fave a relapse.
Fortunately, however," continued Mr. Collingridge," I happened to read about a soldier who had been cured of a similar illness by Dr. William Pink Fills. I got a supply, and it is quite true to say that they havamado a new man of me. I didn't derive much benoit at.first, nor could I expect to considering the state to which I had collapsed But with perseverance Dr. Williams Pink Pills fairly conquered my complaint. My strength steadily returned and I soon felt fit for real exertion."
Then my appetite grew keen; food gare me no pain,, hint nouri, ed me. My nerves, Wero wonderfully braced up, and energy was stored in any muss by thos wonderful Pills. Isoon thraw off all traces of debility and nervousness,, was able to take up my profession agdiu and nurer experisacod any ill-effects whaters, even, after a most strong rount of duties in the Gym's
All is due to Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and I am happy to allow these particulira to be- published for the benefit of others mado wentuhod by debility and nerve disorders."
