This belated League fixture was played on the military ground, on Saturday, the Artillerymen winning by 4 guals to nil. Both teams had numerous reserves, the Sappers especially being handicapped in this direction. The game was only a few minutes old when Burt headed through from a centre by Priver. Bedbrook scored a second goal for the Gunners ten minutes later. The R.E. then took up the running and had a good chance of opening their account Beasley having temporarily left big goal, but nothing acerned, the ball being placed on the wrong side of the post. The third goal soored by Vincent just on half- time. The Engineers were more in the picture after the rosumption and had hard lines on several occasions. M'Cormick twisted his ankle and went into goal, Beasley replacing him at left half, The Sappers were awarded two corners, which, however, were not improved upos. Driver scored a fourth for the EGA. after a fine run. Just before time the Gunners were given a penalty. Beasley took the kick, bat placed the fall over the bar.
