BY TH BERLIN CORRESPONDENT OF THE

A
Typhoon" has just been performed here for the 200th time, and it is still drawing fall houses night by night. It has been the dramatio sensation of the year in Berlin. The copyright for Great Britain has been purchased, and it is intonded to produce the play in London, though probably with some modifestions. "Typhoon portrays in the most vivid colours the Yellow Peril, and there may be political as well as moral objections to its production in an qusdulterated form in England.
Having perpetrated the murder, Dr. Take rame hastly summons by telephone all his Ja- panese comrades, and explains the situation to them. Their one thought is to shield him in order that be may full the great mission en- trusted to him by the Japanese Government, and each one of them offers to accept the responal- bility for the crime. Yoshikare, the lawyer Omayl, the physiolan Kitamaru, and the others, one by one urge their respective claims to figure as the murderer in order to shield their leader.
A THRILLING, SCENE. Then, in a esons of thrilling interest, the youthful Hironari, still in his toens, ploads that unlike his comrades, he has no partlonlar work to do, and that, therefore he, se the least valuable member of the band, should be chosen for this honourable morifice. On his kagis he panda with his elders to be allowed to take the blame for Tokaramo's crime upon his shoulders, Ditimately they consent, and he is arrested as the murderer.

Within a few years they hope to collect and mentally digest the products of the ancient oivilisation of Europe, in order that Japan may reap the advantages of their knowledge, Their respective investigations are communi- cated to Dr. Tokoramo, who registors them in days and nights of laborious labour in volume after volume of records.
A PARISIAN "ENCHANTRESS,”
In the first act all these Japanese cmissarios are sean in Dr. Tokeramo's apartment in Paris, whore, after sending off his servante, they doff civilised attire and don their national costumes, sent upon the door, and tell one another tales of the glories of Nippon, at the same time dis- cussing with cas another the different aspects of their mission in Europe.
