▲ HAIRY BAUM.
They are a very peculiar race, now inhabiting only the northern island of Yoze, bat formerly widely spread all over the Japanese Arobipelago. The Ainos are the hairiest nes in the whole world, their luxuriantly thick black beards and hairy limbs giving them an appearance that contraste strangely with the smoothness of their Japanese lords and masters. They are of sturdy ball, and distinguished by a flattening of certain boues of the arm and leg, which has been observed nowhere else except in the remains of some of the cave mon of Europe. Both sexes are of a mild and amiable disposition, but are terribly addicted to drunkenness.
