The C.P.R. str. Empress of Japan sailed from Vancouver on the 18th instant afternoon via the usual ports of call.
·MERCHANT STEAMERS," The C.N. Co.'s str. Kusichow. laft Tientsin on the 22nd inst., and is due here to-morrow. The H-A. Linie str. Silvia left Shanghai on the 24th inst. am, and may be expected hero to-morrow.
The NY.K, str. Shinano Mare (American Line) left Kobe for this port via Moji and Shanghai on the 19th instant, and is expected hore on the 28th inst.
The Chen Line str: Glenturret Jeft Singapore on the 24th instant a.m., and is due here on cr about the 30th ist, ami
The T.K.K. str. Nippon Muru will sail from Yokohama on 21st inst, en route to Hongkong, she is due to arrive at this port on the 1st prox." The Bank Line str. Aymeric arrived at Yokohama on the 23rd instant, and may be expected here on or about the 4th pros.

All Claims must be presented within ten days of the steamer's arrival here, after which date. they cannot be recognised.
No Claims will be admitted after the Gooda - have left the Godowns, and all Goods remaining andelivered after the 29th inst. will be subject to rent.
All broken, chifed, and damaged Goods must bo left in the Godowns, where they will bo eramined on the 27th inst., at 3 P.M.
No Fire Insurance will be effected by us in any case whatever,
