LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
Only two matches were played on Saturday afternecu, that between the B.O.C. and the RA.M.C. and between the Nars Yard and the Y.M.C.A. In the first the Boys lost by seven goals to one and in the latter the Saints won by one goal to nil.
NAVAL YARD V. Y.M.CA
This match was played on the Navel ground on Saturday at 2.30 pm. sad, notwithstan ding the counter attractions, a good number of spectators turned out to witness what resulted in the tamest league match which has taken place for a long time. The game was spoiled by the Yardors playing nine men, two of their team failing them at the last minute. This was hard lines on the Yarders, as they expected to put up a good fight for the points in this match, but it was harder on the Saints because soklom, if ever, have their forwards worked together better than they did on Satur day time after time. Heigh and Weaser carried the bull rip only to find that when the ball was centred the inside men wore all offside. The only goal of the match was scored by Lyal, who had to retire at half time -Darauy" played a good game in goal for the losers with Dalziel and Glover best. For the Esints the addition of Hamiltoni, and Gregory made their defence impregnable, and the forwards were better than over they have been so far this season.
B.O.C V. BA.MG.
Rose took premier position at the start, and lod for the greater part of the distance, being avérbank by Thislie About a quarter of a mile from the post. At this stage Leek challenged Tuile, and an excellent race was withsuel, the latter best just winning by the narrow margin of two feet, while Rose was wall up in third place..
CROSS COUNTRY RACE.
The second Cross Country Race for the Broke, Challenge Cup took place yesterday stler noon at the Cinder Track, Kowloon. Only two competitors started, these being the same is for the fint race,... Ellis and Chunyat. The day was a very unpropitious one for the race, the roads being very heavy. The track was exactly the same as a the occasion of the all the way up to about half a mile from duish first race. Both competitors kept well together when Ellis took the lead and kept it. Chun yat increased his pace but could not catch his rival. Ellis finished in grand stylo and won by about 50 yards.
