As the earth crosses the orbits of certain somete, shooting stars oppour, indisting that streams of frigmants are following in the wake of the cometa - Mr. W. F. fisnning the British astronomer, has lately suggested that meteors radiating from the constellation Aquirits during the first week in May are in the orbit of the famous Haley's comet, the 75-year visitor now being so eagerly awaited, and as these meteors are visible nearly every year, the comet dust must form an immense elliptical ring reaching from near the sup to a point beyond Neptune's orbit. The streaza being densest just behind the comet, a great shower may come near the perihelion passage probably in May, 1910.
