TEN CHARGEURS REUNIS LINERS.

At the end of next week the Malts, the first of the new liner ordered by the Chargears Réania Company for a round-the-world service, is due to reach Hongkong. The Chargeurs, Réanis, one of the largest of French stanship enterprises, decided to build special staimers for the service and the Malla, the first to be com- pleted, has only recently left the builders' handa after a very satisfactory trial trip. She is twin-screw steamer, of 15,800 tons prom, and designed to carry 9,000 tose of orge and 57 rst-class passengers. Her dimensions : Length over all, 500 it; beam, 55 ft. 8 inches, and moulded depth, 36 ft 11 inches, Her prepelling machinery, consisting of two sets of triple expansion engines, has strength of 8,500 horse-power. She is fitted with six large single-ended boilers, and sha developed on her trial trip a speed of 16-6 kuota.
