THE WAR SCARE IN AMERICA.
A REMARKABLE REPORT."
An almost incredible story bas been sent from Sen Francisco to the Asali The message states that the Imperial Rescript on Education was read at a meeting of Japanese on the 3rd justant in Sao Francisco, in Imperial birthday. The Rescript contains a the celebration of statement "Should emergency arise, offer yourselves to the State loyally und brasoly."
reading of this sentence erested a great sensation among the Americans, who were under the impression that the Rescript was specially granted quite reoanlly,
was feared in some quarters that the insident might give rise to another batch of war scares, the Japanese Embassy at Washington explained that the Rescript had been issued some soventeen years ago and according to the Asali correspondent-" the exoitement subsided.".
