The English mail leaving Hongkong on Saturday, the 30th instant, is dus in London on the 28th December,

The German mad lesving Hongkong on the 4th December, ia duo in London on or about the Jat January 1908,

CHRISTMAS CABos (if prepaid at Printed Matters rates) must be pooled either in an un- after ed envelope or in a cover which can be easily removed for the purpose of examination with out breaking any sen), tearing any paper or separating any adhering surfaces. Covers may, however, be secured with string.

CARDB enclosed in envelopes with retched ends or corners cut will be taxed as letters. The best a (thed of Berding Cards is to enclose them in an envelope with the flap turned in.

NEW YEAR PARCEL MAIL, HOMEWARD.

The text parcel mall of the 29th instant is due in London on the 4th January, 1998 Parcels intended for New Year's delivery may be posted with an additional fea of 60 cont te le forwarded overland via BRINDI81, such parcels are due in London about the 30th December

The rates of postage an ordinary parcels are as follow:--

For a parcel not exceeding 3 lbs-in-weight

Under no circumstances will parcels weighing over 11lbs, be forwarded.

All parcels containing jewellery or any article of gold or eliver must be insured. Al Insured parcels must be sealed. The seals must bear the impression of a device or private mark. Coins must not be used for sealing purposes.

The Deite, with the English mail of the 1st November, loft Singapore on Saturday the 23d instant at 8 a.m., and may be expected here to-morrow, at 7am. This packet bring replies to letters despatched from Hongkong on the 1st Oct. and the parcel mails closed in London for despatch by the all ses route on the 23rd Oct. and for despatch overland on the 30th October,
