AN APPEAL.
THE SISTERS who direct ST, ANTONIO`S TCONVENT at Macao will be very thankfal
to Bhop-keepers, Linen-drapers, Clothiers and Tailomin Ungkong, Macao, and elsewhere who will sen" to them remnants of material, books of patterns no longer used, and any pieces of olofn, no matter how small, of which they can- not make use.
Those who send will thus, at no cost to themselves, afford the numerous haads in the convent, especially the little ones, opportunity for useful occupation; for pieces of cloth, even of a square inch, can be stitched together and very pretty pieces of work made out of cloth, that would otherwise be thrown away. These articles are bonght by obaritable persons and the Sisters are thus helped to keep up their very large establishment, which is maintained by the alms of friends and in a great measure by the warnings of the girls themselves, who lead by no means an idle life within the convent walls.
