JAPAN'S FOREIGN TRADE.
The foreign trade of Japan for the month of January totalled 68,786,098 yea against a corresponding £gare of 1,206,502 yon for last year, the Increase being 9,529,595 yez.
This increase, as divided between exports and imports, was 3,391,740 yen for exports and 6,131,856 for imperts. Exports stand for 23,280,923 ven and imports for 40,535,175 ren. so that there is da excess of 11,974,252 you ou the side of imports, against an excess of only 9,240,136 yen on the corresponding period of 1906.
