here whom I could venture to employ in the poom of Mr. Mercer, who has ably performed the duties of Treasurer for two years, and given adequate securities, he will continue to act as Treasurer,

and Mr. Hillier as Chief Magistrate until some permanent arrangement has been made for the important duties of the Fratury.

Should Mr. Stewart not come out, Your Lordship may perhaps be pleased to take

into consideration the confirmation of Mr. Mercer
