H.K,F.C. T. MIDDLESEX REGIMENT,

· A. spirited game between these teams took place on the Club ground at Happy Valley on Saturday, ending in a sin for the visitors by ono goal. Although the ground was slippery and wet, it did not damp the energy of the players, the majority of whom, on both sides, played a sterling game. In the first half the Middlesex teams, after great exertion, succeeded, in natting a goal, and the Club made strenuous bat unsuccessful endeavours to equalies. There was no further score before half time, and although the play which followed was fast and toumbined, the sturdy defonos of the backs and keepers frustrated all the efforts of either | fring line, so that when the whistle sonaded the
