Dectective Sergeant Grant prosecuted, and Mr. J. H. Gardiner (of Mr. O. D. Thomson's offies; appeared for the second defendant.
After bearing the evidence his Worship disobarged the defendants on the ground that there was not sufficient evidence to conviet.
APPLICATION FOR EXTRADITION. Hix Worship heard, an application for be extradition to Chira of one, Lo Hung, why is wanted to answer a charge of ariced robbery at the village of Pingsan near Canton,
Mr. G. E. Morr (of the Crown solicitor's oflos) instructed of Chief Detective Inspector Hanson, made the application, and Mr. Otto Korg Sing appeared for the defendant.
The story told by the prosecution was to the effect that ently on the morning of July 20th Give armed tens of whom defendant was the leader, broke into an oil shop. All the robbers carried lighted touches, and after quieting the inmates with threats, proceded to ransack the premises. They secured 380 in subsidiary coin, and then departed taking the master of the shop with them to a villago over a mile distant.
