Love Among the Chickens, by P.G. WOORHOUSE
London: George Bell & Soun.
This is refreshingly new, stale written in the .
spirit of Mr. Jerome's "Three man in a Boat," of a modern author who spends a summer holiday with a Micawberich friend who is running a poultry farm. The author falls in lors with a pretty asighbour, and his wooing her irate parent quite solipses in interest the tegitimate woning. Ho asks for the paterual consent while they are swimming in the see, and gets it on the golf links, just as he lets the old gentleman boat him at the last hole in the clab final. To tell any more would be unfair, it is capital book with which to brighten a dull afternoon.
