Throughout the greater part of the second half, the R.A.M.C. found it necessary to pat forth their best endeavours to turn array the leather which persistently flew in the direction of their posts.
Their efforts were fairly successful, bat Bacon, after some hard work, eventually got a shot, and the leather found a resting place between the posts amidst great cheering. The proposition was agreed to unanimously but as the Rugby players preferred the old methods, it was agreed that the innovation apply only to the association team.
The secretary to the Natalyard Football Club wrote suggesting the formation of a league under English Association rules.
Members generally were not in favour of forming such a league, and possed a motion to the effect that the club was unable to join.
