The British sir. Wosang reports: Fine wea ther from Chefoo to Montagu Island, where anchored during typhoon for 36 hours; thence to pert fino weather and smooth to moderate sex and variable breezy.

The British str. Coptic reports: Had fre weather across the Pacific From Yokohams to Nagasaki vin Inland Sou variable and unsettled weather with continuous heavy rain. From Nagarki to Turnabout Island moderats to fresh E. and E. winds with heary H.E. swell. From Turnabout to Menilu boisterous and unsettled weather with bigh confused nez. From Maxila to Bongkong moderate B.W. winds, fine weather with smooth sea.

The Chineso str. Chiyuen reports: Enco tered soreca typhoon in vicinity of Wenshow, 000 miles north of Hongkong. Took shelter in company with other steamers among the Tai- chau Leland. Galo lasted through Thursday.. Blatoud Friday, 1st Sept, with incessant heavy rain, Left the anchorage at daylight on Satur day, Sept. 2nd, and encountered for weather and smooth ses to Hongkong. The centre of typhoon passed to eetward of us apparently very close, tracking in a NW, direction..

The British str. vongsang reports. From Shanghai experienced N.E. winds, increasing B.E. well and falling barometer. Anchored under Tsusan Island at 8 a.m., Sept. 1st for 24 hours. Lowest Bar, 20.00 between midnight Terrifio qualis and and 1 a.m., Sept. 2nd.

thick driving rain; wind N.E. till 8 pm., Sept. 1st. North at 10 p.m., N.N.W. at lå pau, and N. W. at 1a.m., Sept. 2nd, When weather began to moderate and at 8 a.m. left the anchorage and proceeded. High S.E: swell to Trinhows, and from thence variable winds and fine weather to port.
